Chittaranjan Teacher’s Training Institute is a Govt. Aided Teacher’s Training Institute in Kolkata which is specially meant for women.
In the year 1955 the Institute had started its journey & has been imparting Nursery, Infant & Primary Teachers’ Training Course. Subsequently in the year 1956 the Institute got affiliation for conducting the said course from Directorate of School Education, Govt. of W.B .
In due course of time the title of the course has been changed to ‘Pre-Primary & Primary Teachers’ Training Course’ . From the year 2014 the title of the course has been renamed again to ‘Diploma in Elementary Education’.
The Two-year D.El.Ed curriculum is based on the direction & guidelines of the NCFTE 2009 in the light of NCF-2005.
